I like to draw

I like to draw. I've always like to draw. I doodle in meetings, draw on my jeans in high school, and leave little random drawings on one of my bestest "so money" friend's calendars. When Renee finally realized that I was the culprit, she began demanding pictures each week... I had a lot of fun trying new things. Lambo, Mad Cow & Undeliverable Turkey are my 3 most memorable items, but I thought I'd share some that I did on Facebook a couple of months back.

I think this was my first one. I used to have the Graffiti application, and left this for Ben on his wall. We call Ben "Ben the Bear" 'cause he so grumpy and eats a lot. But he's a nice guy & makes funny puns.

This one is of Merlin. He used to belong to a scary lady before my previous roommate absconded him and dragged him to the ghetto. On occasion, I would go over to the scary lady's house, and that's where I first met Merlin. He liked to get up on the table that the TV sat on and sit right in the middle to wash himself. He'd always be in the way.

This picture is a spoof on what really happened. Merlin loved my former roommie so much that he decided to bring him a gift. It was actually a small bird, but I thought a rhinoceros would be funnier because the crazy lady's house was full of junk, and trying to picture Merlin dragging this giant thing in without knocking over anything or waking the crazy lady up made me laugh.

This was my attempt at drawing people. I had also just started my first Spanish class, so it's a two for one.

A drawn pun. I love it! I crack me up. hahahahaha

Another picture of Ben

This one was of me. I was upset and wanted to cry. That's my Bible next to me. But I have my head on my knees. This picture was what my room looked like before I moved out of Brandi's grandmother's house.

This is me pushing Brandi into the volcano. She's at the railing looking over, and I'm coming up behind her with a stick to push her in. She's the token blonde.

just a random desk I drew in paint.
my finger in some water.

I called this "Getting rid of kiss-asses".

This is Julie's dog, Zoe holding a picture of her and Merlin. As if they could be friends. Poor Merlin lives in the ghetto. I miss you Moo Moo.

My previous roommie, who took my Moo Moo to the ghetto, decided that he would bathe Merlin. Hahahahahah...yeah...that didn't really go over well with Merlin, and he hid under my legs the rest of the week. This was my interpretation of what happened, since I was not in the bathroom when it happened.

This is a picture of Brandi's dog Dixie (who is evil) as a pin for bowling. =)

This is a picture of Dixie's legs in concrete buckets and Brandi diving in to save her. hehehee...

So, this last one is a picture of Ben, but I did a rendering of the same picture. I think I did pretty good for my first time. Your comments are welcome.

I love to play cards! But when I play with Ben, Jose & Jose's mom, she totally cheats. They are my card sharks. =)

Tubing down the itchnatucknee river. Can you find the alligator?

This is picture makes a word. Can you figure it out?

Pictures pictures pictures...

So my brother (Kent), his wife (Tanya) & my nephew (Caleb) came to Florida to visit everyone. I was the lucky one to have them all to myself on Tuesday night, all day Wednesday and then again on Sunday evening.

I wasn't sure if Caleb would remember me, but it didn't matter. We bonded instantly. So I shared my stuffed animals with him, and he took to them like they were white on rice. LOL

This is Caleb with my octopus...I should probably call it his octopus now, but they played a lot - it was love at first sight for Caleb.

They wrestled...they rolled...I think Caleb's got him in some kind of hold.

But it didn't matter....look at that face....so happy! An octopus and his boy. Good times.

My giant snake & shark puppet tried to attack Caleb, but he made it out alive...

Caleb needed a short nap after all that rough housing...this was all I had for him to sleep in. I must say, Rubbermaid works great.

This is my sister in law, Tanya. She's spending a little quality bonding time with my octopus.

Aww...that's so sweet...LOOK! they're making faces at the camera. =)

This was Sunday afternoon. They had just arrived from a three hour ride to Jax from Tallahassee. I think when Caleb gets older, my octopus might try and leave me.

Oh yeah...that's a bond that distance can't break.

It's so weird for me to refer to Kento as "daddy", but he's a good daddy.

This is us at Jax Beach on Wednesday. It was a nice day off.

Aunt Ray Ray bought that hat for Caleb...yep...gotta represent in NC!

A Little Quirky

I've been tagged by Laura http://lifeofalyon.blogspot.com to post 6 quirky things about myself.

Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Mention the rules on your blog.
3. Tell about six unspectacular quirks of yours.
4. Tag six fellow bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each of the six blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged.

My personal Quirks:

1. I like to plan things in advance. Like way in advance. I'm already planning a trip with my parents to visit my brother, sister-n-law & nephew this Christmas. This is how extreme I am. They just left my apartment this morning to fly back to NC, but fortunately, Tanya (my sister-n-law) is also a planner, and she's been planning us coming up for Christmas too.

2. I like eating my french fries & cottage cheese with pepper.

3. I don't like chocolate milk unless I make it myself. There's just something that grosses me out about pre-made chocolate milk. I like adding the chocolate syrup to my "moo juice".

4. Every time I wear chap stick or lipstick, I instantly feel the need to wash my face. Something about the consistency/texture/moisture level totally makes me feel very gross, and I immediately want to wipe it off and wash my face. This is probably the reason why I don't like wearing makeup.

5. I can't stand it when the cap to the toothpaste is left off/open. The paste inside gets all hard and crusty, and I know I don't want to have to clean my teeth with that. GROSS! It's not that hard people!

6. I have to steal this last one from Laura. I do the same thing in my closet. I have to have all the clothes in my closet organized by color and item. I have a pants section that is organized by color, a dress section that is organized by color and so on....

...I also don't know 6 people that blog regularly, so I also am going to break the last two rules and make it 3 people. However, if you read my blog and would like to tag yourself for me, please feel free.

I tag Melissa, Caron and Sissy . Have fun!

These are a few of my favorite things....

I don't know what it is, but I just love this scene from "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." I think it's because the ritual below is so hilarious. Anywho...I found the scene on a T-shirt and copied it for myself. Enjoy...

I like this style of art. Very collage-y, very make believe, but very fun and friendly.

Yeah, so I love chairs, and I love the color orange. I saw this on a website, and since they cost bazzillions of dollars, I will just settle for looking at them on this blog.

Below is the killer rabbit from the "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" movie. This is the whole reason they made directions on how to use the holy hand grenade. "...then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it. Amen. " Hahahahaha...I love it!

This is a very small picture of one of my favorite cartoons - "Hey Arnold." This was like the most awesomest cartoon ever. Ok, well maybe not the awesomest, but it's in my top 10 for cartoons.

That's Anissa's hand in the bottom right hand corner. =)

The Move Before

Well, this is a story about how my life got flipped - turned upsidedown, and I'd like to take a minute - just sit right there, and I tell you how I became the princess of ...Wait a sec? Sorry...wrong show.

This is/was/will always be in my heart, Merlin. He was forced to move to the ghetto and is most likely traumatized, as I would be. I'll probably never see him again, but for a short while I lived with him, and he was My Love. I renamed him Merlie Moo, Moo Moo, Boo Boo and eventually settled on My Love. I have never met a more affectionate, yellow eyed, all black, soft kitty before, but he was so sweet. I miss you Moo Moo.

There he is lying on my then recently dismantled bed in my then box cluttered bedroom.
This is my version of a panoramic shot. That's my bedframe in pieces.
There are some of my many boxes. 35 in all, and I was completely packed a week before the movers came to pick up my stuff. Notice my pet cone. It used to sit on my desk at work, but after I was moved into another room with 40 of my n0n-closest friends, I took him home.
This is my dining room table and chairs. My father stained those chairs to match my table. He did a great job, especially since they used to be painted white with red trim. My entertainment center is behind it, not being used.
Those boxes belong to me. All that other crap belongs to someone else.
